Savings for the Summer of 2017
Dear School District of Superior Employees,
In order to put away money for the summer months of July and August, when we do not receive paychecks, the School Employees Credit Union can help you to plan for this. You can open up a second and third savings account at the credit union and direct deposit what you need for your summer budget and to make your summer loan payments with us. SECU loan payments will not be automatically made for you during your summer vacation unless you are a 12 month employee.
Not a member of the School Employees Credit Union yet? Stop in and join! All we need to make you a member is your driver's license,a few signatures, and $5.00 in your savings account. Employees who already took advantage of this service last year need not do anything to have it continued for this school year. It will automatically resume in September unless you come in and either stop or alter the amount you have taken out.
A simple chart to put away money for next school year is (based on this year's salary):
Current Take home Suggested amount to put away to keep an even
pay per check amount of income for the summer months
(This does not include loan payments)
If you do wish to make direct deposits for a summer account and/or a summer loan payment account you must stop in the credit union and sign a direct deposit form. We must have this form to help you save for summer. To ensure you start making deposits by the first paycheck in September stop in to the credit union any time before August 25th.
Enjoy your summer!
